This portrait is a gift to my mum. My mum inspired me to create this piece of digital painting. She has been and continues to be an important part of my practice, always supporting and encouraging me and those around her. Inspired by her warmth, this work aims to capture the sense of home and safety encapsulating my mum. Her love for travelling and life is depicted in the sunlit portrait, enveloped in the tender Venetian sunset light from a dreamy European holiday.
